“Shaken not stirred” We have all heard this famous line, and everyone knows, when you want to look classy, you order a Martini. I mean why not its James Bonds drink of choice. However how many of us have ever ventured far enough to try one? This may be the “most famous cocktail” but it’s far from the most popular. It may even be the most iconic drink, even having its own glass, but most people go their whole life never trying one. This my friends is a big mistake. Let’s talk about why
Intro To the Martini
A simple drink at its core. Often made with only 2 ingredients, makes the Martini not only classy but simple to make. This drink gained its name form one of its ingredients – Martini & Rossi Vermouth. As a dry Gin drink the Martini does not make it on most drinkers radar. However, everyone who wants to know even the basics of mixology or just how to drink like an adult needs to know this cocktail. Don’t let the lack of fancy fruity ingredients fool you, the Martini is the cocktail of congressmen, spy’s, and the affluent for a reason.
