How to make the Bulleit Old Fashioned | Bulleit Frontier Whiskey Cocktails

Bulleit whiskey stirred to perfection with bitters, sugar syrup and orange.

Any bar worth its weight in bourbon has an ‘Old Fashioned’ prominent on their cocktail list – that’s because it perfectly balances the whiskey with sweet and bitter. When made with Bulleit Bourbon aged 10 years in charred American White Oak barrels, the result is heightened by its rich woody aroma, hints of vanilla and dried fruit. It’s all finished with the aromatics of Angostura, along with the orange’s essential oils.

60ml Bulleit 10 year whiskey (2 standard drinks)
10ml brown sugar syrup
2 shakes of Angostura Bitters
1 Orange

Build in an old fashioned glass: sugar syrup, bitters and 20ml of whiskey with 2-3 ice cubes. Stir.Add another 20ml of whiskey, 2 more ice cubes and stir.Continue until desired dilution is achieved.Use a peeler to remove the skin from the orange (avoiding the white pith) and twist the peel over the drink. Then to garnish gently drop the peel into the finished drink.

  2. I love this. I run a cocktail bar in England and this is the exact method and bourbon I use. However love the tip of brown sugar syrup. I use white. Thinking back makes perfect sense.
